Most of Mahmud's work is carried out in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. This is largely because the nature of the work itself can only be conducted in those courts. But representation may also be provided in the Circuit Court.

No, most barristers in Ireland will practice in one or two circuits but rarely more than that. If Mahmud is unable to attend court in your circuit then we will do our best to recommend a different barrister who practices in that circuit and who will be able to assist you.

Members of certain bodies, including most accountancy bodies, may directly instruct barristers without going through a solicitor. This may include requests for legal opinion, but not court representation or representation before other tribunals (such as disciplinary bodies), which will always require a solicitor.
